Overview

Since the 1950, the importance of the Char Dham as both an actual destination and an object of the national Hindu religious imagination has grown considerably. Buoyed by "religious tourism" and by the rise of a conservative Hindu population compelled by sites that speak to the existence of an all-India Hindu culture, the Char Dham has become an important destination for pilgrims from throughout South Asia and the diaspora, particularly Bengalis, Marwaris, Odia’s, Marathi’s, Gujarati’s, Delhite’s and people from Uttar Pradesh, and Uttarakhand. Today, the circuit receives hundreds of thousands of visitors in an average pilgrimage season, which lasts from approximately April 15 until Diwali (sometime in November). The season is heaviest in the two-month period before the monsoon, which normally comes in late July. After the rains begin, travel to the sites becomes extremely dangerous. Even before the rains begin, safety is a major concern, as extensive road building and heavy traffic have critically destabilized the rocks, making fatal landslides and bus/jeep accidents a regular occurrence. Mortality rates for a season often surpass 200. Some pilgrims also visit the sites after the rains ends and before the sites become impassable due to snow. Although temperatures at the shrines in the early winter months of October and November are inhospitable, it is said that the mountain scenery surrounding the sites is most vivid after the rains have had a chance to moisten the dust of the plains below.

Today early morning, we will proceed to Jankichatti/Phoolchatti, on reach there, start your trek from here to Yamunotri (6km) (Either by walk or by horse or by Doli at your own cost). After taking a bath in JamunabaiKund's warm water and having Darshan of Yamunaji return to Jankichatti by trek. Later back to Barkot Hotel, after having dinner and an overnight stay at Barkot.

Yamunotri Temple: Maharani Gularia of Jaipur built the temple in the 19th Century. It was destroyed twice in the present century and rebuilt again. At Yamunotri, one can cook rice by packing it in a cloth and dipping it in the hot water of the Tapt Kund. Pilgrims take this cooked rice home as "Prasad". Here near the temple "Pooja" can be offered to DivyaShila.

The morning after breakfast, check out from the hotel then we will drive towards Uttarkashi. On route visit Kashi Vishwanath Temple in Uttarkashi. Later proceed to the hotel, on reach check in to the hotel, and after refresh have dinner and overnight stay at Uttarkashi.

Uttarkashi: - is home to several ashrams and temples. The name of the town reflects its similarity to and location (north of) the city of Kashi (Varanasi). Similar to Varanasi, the town of Uttarkashi is also situated on the banks of River Ganga.

Vishwanath Temple: - Vishwanath temple is one of the oldest Shiva temples in Northern India. Re-constructed in 1857 by Maharani Khaneti Devi of Tehri State in the ancient architectural style. It is situated at the heart of the town. A massive iron trident, symbolic of the divine mother, has been erected and worshipped from time immemorial at the temple complex. Ganesh Ji, Sakshi Gopal, and Markandeya Rishi’s small shrines are also part of the temple complex. Akhand Jyoti as well as Akhand Abhishek, special aarti in morning and evening are offered. As per Skunda Puran, Uttarkashi is known as ‘Saumya Varanasi’, the abode of Lord Shiva in Kaliyuga and counted as one of the twelve Jyotirlingas.

Today early morning, we will drive towards Gangotri, enroute at Gangnani take a holy dip in Garam Kund, further drive to Gangotri via beautiful Harsil Valley. Harsil is famous for its nature beauty and for the majestic views of the deodar trees and mountains. On arrival at Shree Gangotri Temple, take a holy dip in the sacred river Ganges which is also called Bhagirathi at its origin. Perform pooja and darshan, after that relax for some time in the lovely surroundings. Later drive back to Uttarkashi. On reach hotel after refreshed have dinner and overnight stay at Uttarkashi.

Morning after breakfast, check out from hotel then drive towards Guptkashi via Ghanshali. Enroute you can see the beautiful river Mandakini at Tilwara. The Mandakini River comes from the Kedarnath. later drive to hotel, on reach check in into the hotel, after refreshed have dinner and overnight stay at Guptkashi/Phata.

Today Early morning after breakfast, check out from hotel our driver will drop you at Sonprayag then you have to take local jeep for Gourikund & then your trek starts for Kedarnath ji. Reach Kedarnath Ji Mandir, attend Bhajan Sandhya in Kedarnath Ji and overnight stay at Kedarnath.     

Gouri Kund: Local tradition claims that Gouri Kund is the spot where Gouri Lived while carrying out practices and it was here that shiva finally admitted his love for her. check inn into hotel and overnight stay in Kedarnath.

By Heli: Morning after breakfast, then we will drive towards Guptkashi/Phata/Sirsi helipad as per your pre-booked Heli tickets. Then we proceed to fly to Kedarnath via Heli, reach Kedarnath helipad, then process to Kedarnath Temple, after performing Pooja, Darshan of Baba Kedarnath Ji, attend evening arti of Baba Kedarnath Ji Arti at Kedarnath Temple, and overnight stay at Kedarnath.

Today Early morning we will darshan of Baba Kedar ji and then process to back Sonprayag by Trek. Meet our driver at Sonprayag. Later drive to Phata/Guptkashi hotel, check in hotel after refreshed have dinner and overnight stay at Phata/Guptkashi.

By Heli: Today morning, Darshan of Baba Kedar ji, perform Pooja and then process to back Phata/Sirsi/ Guptkashi helipad. Meet our driver at Helipad. Later drive to Guptkashi. On reaching Guptkashi, after refreshed take dinner and overnight stay at Guptkashi.

Kedarnath: The Kedarnath shrine, one of the 12 jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva, is a scenic spot situated, against the backdrop of the majestic Kedarnath range. Kedar is another name of Lord Shiva. According to legend, the Pandavas after having won over the Kaurava in the Kurukshetra war, felt guilty of having killed their own brothers and sought the blessings of Lord Shiva for redemption. He eluded them repeatedly and while fleeing took refuge at Kedarnath in the form of a bull. On being followed he dived into the ground, leaving his hump on the surface. The remaining portions of Lord Shiva appeared at four other places and are worshipped there as his manifestations. The arms appeared at Tungnath, the face at Rudranath, the belly at Madhyamaheshwar and his locks (hair) with head at Kalpeshwar. Kedarnath and the four above-mentioned shrines are treated as Panch Kedar.

Morning after breakfast, check out from hotel then we will drive towards Badrinath, via Joshimath. On route visit Shankaracharya Math & Narsingh Temple, later drive for Badrinath. On reach check in into the hotel, after having dinner & overnight stay at Badrinath.

Badrinath: - is one of the 'Ancient Four Dham’s' is one of the most celebrated pilgrimage spots of the country and is situated at an elevation of 3,133 meters, guarded on either side by the two mountain ranges known as Nar & Narayan with the towering Neelkanth Peak providing a splendid backdrop. This revered spot was once carpeted with wild berries. Thus, the place got the name "Badri van", meaning "forest of berries".

Today morning, we will darshan of Shri Badrinath Ji Temple and perform pooja and spend time visiting around the temple. After that drive back to Rudraprayag, on route visit Vishnuprayag Sangam, Nandaprayag Sangam, Karnaprayag Sangam & Rudraprayag Sangam. On reach check in into hotel, after refreshed have dinner and overnight stay at Rudraprayag/Srinagar

Today morning after breakfast, check out from hotel then we will drive towards Haridwar via Srinagar, on route visit Rudraprayag Sangam & Devprayag Sangam. Later drive towards hotel, on reach check in into hotel after refreshed have dinner & overnight stay at Haridwar.

IMPORTANT POINTS TO NOTE:

  • Kindly check hotel pictures before booking. Premium Ness of Hotels may vary on hills.
  • There are mostly Stairs in Hilly areas Hotels.
  • The additional cost incurred will be in addition to the package cost.
  • Biometric Registration for the Yatra needs to be done by the passenger only, before the Yatra Begins as per government guidelines.
  • All timings need to be adhered strictly.
  • Guest needs to book Local Jeep from Sonprayag to Gaurikund and back to Sonprayag by own.
  • No Refund in case of force majeure.
  • We shall not be responsible for any delays & alterations in the program or expenses incurred directly or indirectly due to natural hazards, flight cancellations, accident, breakdown of transport, weather, sickness, landslides, closures/blockades due to political unrest or any such incidents and also, we shall not be responsible for any change in the itinerary due to landslides on Chardham tour route.
  • Meal varieties (Breakfast/Dinner) will be the basis the hotel menu.
  • Passenger need to leave hotel by 4am, for Trek to Kedarnath Ji temple will start at around 5am & passenger has to return back before the departure for the next day. Passengers has to take pony or Doli at their own cost to reach back on time.
  • All the norms are to be followed as per the government authorities.
  • During thermal scanning if any pilgrim is found with high temperature, he/she will not be allowed to visit the shrine and COVID-19 test (RT-PCR/ANTIGEN/TRUENAT/CBNAAT) will be conducted by the pilgrims at their own cost.
  • In Chardham route some of the places are not on the way like Triyuginarayan, Lakha mandal, Auli, Kalimath, Neelkanth Mahadev, Adi Badri, Bhavishya Badri etc. Kindly contact directly to company in case you want to include these places rather than driver.
  • Two dose Vaccination certificate or RTPCR TEST any one of mentioned may or may not be required for Tour. 
  • Further, in the event of the pilgrim/tourists leaving the tour midway due to personal reasons, no claim for refund of money either full or part will not be entertained by the ABD management.
  • Tour destination/route cannot change without prior notice (Amended route and tour Destination rates may be change).
  • Management reserves all rights to cancel any service without any refund, unless the entire advance amount for the service is received from the customer and accepted by the Company.
  • Most of the properties have power back up, geyser may not work on power back up.
  • Any unprecedented hike in cost of transportation or hotel or food or Helicopter Ticket or any regulation cost will hike the cost of the package.
  • We shall not be responsible for any changes in the itinerary due to any unforeseen or uncontrollable circumstances, man-made or natural.
  • Vehicles will be parked at the parking area at all station/airport/hotel/sightseeing area parking only. All guests have to walk down to the respective parking point by themselves.
  • In case the driver is not cooperative or any issue kindly contact company on the spot.
  • Driving is not allowed after 07 P.M. in Char Dham Sector.
  • All traveler’s Registration is Mandatory for Yatra. Registration to be done by the client himself.

  • Helicopter Tickets can be booked by passenger on its own through Chardham Yatra portal.
  • Helicopter flying timings may vary due to weather conditions as per aviation company's directions.

Payment Policy

  • Booking Amount (30 or more days before departure): 50% of package cost or Actual Liability,
  • 29 – 15 days before departure or Before Applying for the Visa: 75% of Package Cost or Actual Liability,
  • 14 – 08 days before departure: 100% of Package Cost or Actual Liability,

IMPORTANT NOTE:

  • The infrastructure of these areas is not very well developed now and you should not expect or compare it with the other developed destinations there is always a shortage of water and power in this region and so you would come across a situation like water supplied on a time basis – morning to evening.
  • In this region all the hotels don’t have any Generator facility. If the power fails hotel will provide candlelight.

 

PAYMENTS:

For all the services contracted, a certain advance payment should be made to hold the booking, on a confirmed basis & the balance amount can be paid upon arrival in INDIA (UTTARAKHAND) but definitely before the commencement of the services. Management personnel hold the right to decide upon the amount to be paid as advance payment, based on the nature of the service & the time left for the commencement of the service. Apart from the above in some cases like Journeys, hotels or resorts bookings during the peak season (X-Mas, New Year), full payment is required to be sent in advance.

Cancellation Policy

In the event of cancellation of tour/travel services due to any avoidable/unavoidable reason/s, we must be notified of the same in writing. Cancellation charges will be effective from the date we receive advice in writing, and cancellation charges will be as follows:

  • 60 days before arrival: 35% of the Tour/Service cost
  • 45 days before arrival: 60% of the Tour/Service cost
  • 15 days before arrival: 85% of the Tour/Service cost
  • 7 days before arrival: 100% of the Tour/Service cost

LESS THAN 72 HOURS OR NO SHOW: NO REFUND

In the case of Journeys and peak season hotel bookings a separate cancellation policy is applicable (which can be advised as and when required).

SOME CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICIES ARE OUT OF OUR TENDER:

Flight tickets cancellations will follow the airlines' company policy

In case you cancel the trip after commencement, refund would be restricted to a limited amount only which too would depend on the amount that we would be able to recover from the hoteliers/contractors we patronize. For unused hotel accommodation, chartered transportation & missed meals etc. we do not bear any responsibility to refund.

OUR LIABILITIES & LIMITATIONS:

Please note that after the finalization of the Tour/Service cost, if there are any hike in entrance fees of monuments/museums, taxes, fuel costs or guide charges by Govt of India, the same would be charged as extra.

LAW & JUSDICTION

All complaints, suits, claims or disputes of whatsoever nature relating to any products offered by The Travel Planners, will be under the exclusive jurisdiction of the Court of UTTARAKHAND.

 

Terms & Conditions

  • Rates mentioned in the package are valid for Indian nationals only until and unless specified along with the quotation.
  • The quotation we are providing you, it’s without any confirmed reservation either in the airlines or in the hotels. Once the quotation is accepted by the guest and the advance amount is deposited either in IMPS/NEFT/AC Transfer/Cash deposit to proceed with the reservation, the booking will be proceeded by our end. In case we are not able to get the confirmation then the deposited amount shall be refunded to the guest.
  • Once given package is confirmed and then full payment should be made either in Online transaction/Cash at the time when all the travel documents are delivered to the guest. For the packages that are booked under our Airline Group Packages, the airline tickets might be delivered 2 days before the departure of the group.
  • Base category rooms will be booked at the hotels specified in the quotation upon confirmation. If rooms are not available in the selected hotel, rooms will be booked in a similar hotel as per availability, where you will have to pay the difference.
  • Any date amendments in the air tickets will be considered as cancellation only and new tickets are issued under the new applicable fare at the time of issuance of the ticket and cancellation charges are applicable for the cancelled tickets as per airline policy.
  • If any modification will be made to the date or itinerary so guest has to inform us in writing and revised confirmation will depend on subject to availability of the given hotels on the requested dates. In that situation, if he/her wants to cancel their tour in that case the cancellation policy will be applied.
  • No refund will be given for unused services in the tour package. Whether or not to take the service is at the discretion of the guest.
  • 100% payment to be made by the guest on arrival before commencement of travel.
  • Please carry your valid proof of identity (passport in case of international travel) with your photograph, as it is required at the airport and during check-in at hotels. PAN card is not a valid identity proof, so please do not carry it with you.
  • Most hotels have check-in after 2 PM and check-out by 12 PM and the number of meals including breakfast is always commensurate with the number of nights booked by the guest. The hotel does not provide breakfast on the day of arrival.
  • In case of the non-availability of the hotel, a Similar category hotel will be given and the operator is authorized to change the hotel if required.
  • The tour operator is authorized to change the route or itinerary if required.
  • Violation of company policy or misbehaviour with any employee of the company will lead to cancellation of the package without any refund.
  • For early check-in and late check-outs payments are to be settled directly by the guest at the hotel.
  • In the case of international travel, rates may vary depending on availability or change in ROE or any other fluctuations in the international market.
  • Please read the email carefully and understand the contents and prices. All email conversations after booking will also form part of your contract with us.
  • Please take care of your belongings before leaving the car or hotel. The company is not responsible for any loss.
  • As directed by the Government of India, all Indian/foreign nationals are required to produce proper proof of identity at check-in. Valid identification documents are: passport and visa together, voter ID card, and current driver's license. All documents must include a photograph.
  • Non-submission of valid ID proof may lead to denial of stay in hotel/camp or any kind of accommodation. The company is not responsible for any problem related to ID proof.
  • For extra adults many hotels provide extra mattresses also instead of extra beds. Kindly inform us in advance if you prefer only an extra bed instead of an extra mattress.
  • It is presumed that the tourist is medically fit to undertake the tour. If you have a certain kind of allergy (especially for food) or any serious health issues kindly inform us in advance.
  • Many small hotels/resorts do not have lifts so kindly inform us in advance if you are not comfortable with stairs.
  • Generally, hotel check-in time is 14:00 hrs. and checkout time is 11:00 hrs. across India. Confirm early check-in or late checkout will be chargeable if not included in the cost. Kindly contact the hotel directly if you want complimentary early check-in or late check-out.
  • Many hotels charge extra for room heaters or Wi-Fi. Normal package does not include this so in that case these charges should be paid at hotels.
  • If meals are included in the package, they will be served on at set menu basis in a buffet menu / fixed / meal credit. Any items that are not in their ideal Buffet / Fixed menu will be charged extra at the time of consumption. Hotels decide the menu and options of items for the menu. Some hotels have a Meal credit policy instead of a Buffet or Fixed Menu during low occupancy in the hotel – This meal credit amount is decided by hotel management – if bills go above the given meal credit amount, then the extra amount should be paid directly at the respective hotel. Room service for the food or packing is charged extra at many hotels.
  • Due to any reason if the Vehicle breaks down due to technical reasons, we will try our best to arrange another vehicle as soon as possible for the major problems. For minor problems which will not take much time vehicle will be repaired. Kindly cooperate.
  • We shall not be responsible for any delays & alterations in the program or expenses incurred directly or indirectly due to natural hazards, flight cancellations, accidents, breakdown of transport, weather, sickness, landslides, closures/blockades due to political unrest or any such incidents.
  • AC will not work in all hill areas or stopped/parked vehicles.
  • Driver will not drive in No entry zones and should not be forced to drive on narrow streets or roads which can create traffic jams. The normal working hours of drivers is 12 hrs. In case you want services more than 12 hours a day kindly inform us in advance.
  • In some hill area roads driving after sunset and music is not allowed due to risk of life. Kindly cooperate for the same.
  • Pick up and drop point will be one only (If multiple pickups and drops please mention email conversation before booking)
  • In case you want multiple visits to some particular place kindly mention in advance because some places have very high charges of parking.
  • Tour destination/route cannot change without prior notice (Amended route and tour Destination rates may be changed)
  • The rates are subject to change, depending on the fluctuation of diesel/Petrol prices in India. If the prices increase more than 5 % than the time of booking, we will increase the rate even if the rates are confirmed earlier.
  • If your booked car is not available, we reserve the right to give you a similar car after discussion with the guest.
  • At many of the tourist destinations/hill stations some of the road/shopping market/mall roads have “NO ENTRY” for all / some bigger tourist vehicles depending on destination along with time restrictions also. In this kind of situation, guests have to manage another available mode of transport with an additional cost and on a direct payment basis, this cost is not included in ideal package inclusion.
  • Sometimes the vehicle Parking area is a little far from the sightseeing spots. in that case, guests need to reach the parking at their own cost.
  • Vehicle will be permitted to use for sightseeing points on the route and inside the city limits or which is mentioned in the itinerary. For additional sightseeing, off-route sightseeing, sightseeing not inside the city limits or substitute sightseeing kindly contact the company. A refund is not possible if any particular sightseeing point is not covered.
  • In case you want some excursions kindly inform the company in advance or discuss these things with the company rather than the driver. All nearby sightseeing points should be covered together. However, in case of sometime issues with some particular place, we can adjust.
  • No refund for short stay or unveiled facilities.
  • No cancellation or any refund will be made if the situation is beyond our control, such as bad weather, landslide, climatic conditions or any other natural disaster, fire, any embargo, acts or decisions of government, political or national crisis, roadblocks, heavy snowfall, acts of terrorism or other similar causes, strikes or problems at
  • airlines, rails, buses, hotels or transporters, labour unrest, insolvency, business exigencies, operational and technical issues, route and flight cancellations or due to which the customer could not reach the destination and which is beyond our control.
  • Company is not responsible for any accident/injury/death/theft of person or property during the tour.
